Speak Up is an SGA sponsored campaign launched in the Fall of 2007. In an effort to reach out across campus and to listen to every student voice, Speak Up was created to encourage students to have a dialogue about important issues around campus – from transportation and safety to wellness and diversity. Through a series of roundtable discussions, we’ve successfully been able to reach out to many students, hear what’s on their minds, and translate those ideas and concerns into action. We’ve focused on reaching out Club Sports teams – who face funding shortfalls but work hard everyday to represent the Gold and Blue – and who are students that excel as athletes, scholars, and leaders. You can see the report from the Club Sports forum here. The Student Voices Across Campus report highlights all of the feedback received from the forums in the Spring – and SGA President Jason Parsons and Vice President Tommy Napier have created blogs to lead a discussion on important student issues. Speak up on what’s important to you!
