Jason Butts

Jason Butts is a junior Political Science major from Martinsburg, West Virginia. He currently lives in Boreman Hall where he is a Resident Assistant. In addition to serving as an RA for a second year, Butts is the Vice President of Sigma Alpha Lambda service fraternity, a Gold and Blue Student Ambassador, and a member of the Public Relations Team for Student Government Association. Butts is running on a dual platform of Residential Education and Dining. He would like to create a mentoring program and implement it within every residence hall. He will also work with the Center for Civic Engagement to have more Morgantown City-based community service projects. Concerning Dining, Butts will work with nutritionists to create healthier, better tasting options for students. He will also work with administrators to identify and resolve issues pertaining to the meal plan and the hours of operation of dining facilities.
