Kyle Hess

Board of Governors

Proven Party member, Kyle Hess, is a freshman business major who was directly admitted to the School of Business and Economics. He is majoring in Business Management, hoping to own his own business in the future. Kyle is a native of Morgantown, West Virginia, which makes this university very special to him. He is currently a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity on campus. Also, he sits on the Mountainlair Advisory Board, making both short and long term decisions that will impact the operation and services for current and future students at WVU. Attending American Legion Mountaineer Boy’s State in 2007 was the start of Kyle’s interest in politics.

If elected to Board of Governors, Kyle plans to improve the advising center by alleviating the stress that students face as they are advised and make their schedules. He will strive to accomplish his platform by getting more one on one attention with students who need additional advice and counsel with scheduling for upcoming semesters.

Also, Kyle would like to incorporate more university affiliated activities and further help with advising in the freshman introductory class, University 101. He sees that University 101 would be more beneficial if it was an introduction to the campus as well as included extra information and history of the university. As a freshman, Kyle is aware of the issues first year students face during the initial semesters at WVU. Kyle will improve West Virginia University not only because it is in his hometown but also because there are modifications to be made at WVU and if Kyle is elected for Board of Governors; those improvements are guaranteed to be completed.
