President Parsons
-Asked the board to focus on working until the last day of our term.
-Many governors are working very hard on issues.
-The Speak Up campaign, club sports funding, and health and wellness will continue to be addressed.
-Mr. Hank Barnett: Thanked SGA for their service and gave brief remarks about leadership and what he learned from his experiences at WVU.
-Presented a Certificate of Recognition to Mr. Barnett on behalf of SGA.

Vice President Napier
-The inauguration date will be March 8th. It will be at the new Erickson Alumni Center.
-Will be attending meetings about the Mountainlair and traditions.
-Please try to get involved in the state legislature.

Attorney General Gutta
-No report.

Chief of Staff McIntosh
-Next week is Random Acts of Kindness week.

Director of Communications Peters
-Has been working with Advancement and Marketing. SGA will have a new logo soon.
-The final roundtable discussions have been scheduled. There will be a Greek forum Feb. 8th at 6:30pm in the Gold Ballroom. There will be another on advising Feb. 10th at 6pm in the Laurel Room.
-The PR team met last week.
-Stressbusters week is tentatively scheduled for April 21st-23rd.
-Met with Dr. Stewart about the Mountaineer Creed.
-The Student Leadership Symposium has been scheduled for April 18th.

Director of Greek Affairs Curry
-Absent.

Executive Secretary Poling

-Election packets are due Friday at 5pm.
-Met with Outreach Director Yachini about getting people involved in voting.

V.Open Student Forum I
-Alyssa Rommel met with administrators about the Speak Up campaign. All dorms will have wireless access by the end of the summer. A new roommate questionnaire has been created. Also, a questionnaire about the dorm visitation policy was sent out Monday.

A. Bureau of Finance Grant Proposal 2009-01: Treasurer Greenberg
-Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity: Cover registration fees to attend Grand Chapter Meeting in Washington, D.C. Asking for $250. Passed.

VII.New Business
A. Taxi Service Announcement: Morgantown Councilwoman Jenny Selin
-A committee has been formed to address issues with the taxi cab companies.
-These issues have been discussed for years.
-One solution is to have a “taxi stop,” similar to a bus stop.
-Currently, there is a line of taxis on high street so students will not have to wait for a cab.
B. Student Conduct Board Appointments: Vice President Napier
-Two students are being appointed mid-year to the Student Conduct Board: Caroline Brewer and Daniel Pellison.
-Both students were approved.
C. Smoke-Free Resolution 2009-02: Governor Pearson and Governor Miller
-The current WVU smoking policy has not been updated since July 1, 1990. Tobacco Free Mountaineers would like to modify this policy.
-Over 50,000 people die every year from the effects of second-hand smoke.
-Time Sensitive-Resolution passed.
D. Bureau of Finance Grant Proposal 2009-02: Treasurer Greenberg
-Psychology Club: Fund costs for the Undergraduate Research Psychology Conference on April 17. Asking for $500.
-Psi Chi Psychology Honorary: Fund costs for the Undergraduate Research Psychology Conference on April 17. Asking for $500.
-WVU Horn Club: Cover registration costs for the opportunity to perform at the 41st International Horn Symposium in Macomb, Illinois from June 1-9. Asking for $500.
-National Society of Collegiate Scholars: Cover registration fees for two members to attend a national convention in Washington, D.C. from August 12-16. Asking for $500. Time sensitive: grant passed.
-Students Taking Action Now: Darfur: Fund the use of facilities to host Darfur Benefit Concert on March 6. Asking for $500. Time sensitive: grant passed pending the approval of Student Orgs.

Governor France
-No report.

Governor Mathias
-There will be a Greek forum this Sunday at 6:30 in the Gold Ballroom. There will be an Advising Forum Tuesday, Feb. 10th at 6pm in the Laurel Room.

Governor McCulloch
-Fraternity recruitment is this week.
-This past November, Gov. Manchin presented WVU with a grant for the Coliseum Bridge Project. A thank-you letter was sent to his office.

Governor Miller
– No report.

Governor Mitchell
– No report.

Governor Pearson
-Attended the Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee meeting. One of the main topics discussed was the PRT.
-Thanked everyone for providing their input on the MIX surveys.
-Attended the Sports Club Federation meeting.
-City Council elections are coming up.

Governor Perry
-The Speak Up report has been sent to all of the administrators. We have started to receive feedback.
-The University 101 focus groups are in a waiting period right now.
-Attended the planning and implementation meeting for the Coliseum pedestrian bridge.

Governor Ramsey
– No report.

Governor Richmond
-The PRT will be down over the summer due to repairs. There will be a shadow bus service.

Governor Rogers
-The Constitutional Review committee has been meeting frequently.
-If you have any advice or suggestions, please let us know.
-Will be attending a strategic planning meeting for the city of Morgantown.
-Next week, there will be a representative present to register people for Dance Marathon.

-Met with the Veteran’s Campus committee.
-West Virginia has more vets than any other state per capita.
