Tonight is a very important meeting as it is a transitional meeting.
Very humbled and honored to serve as your Student Body President.
Thanks to all governors and executives for all their hard work.
Very excited to work with the new board.
We will be the best Student Government among our Peer Institutions.
In the coming weeks Vice-President Napier and President Parsons will be meeting with students across campus to hear their concerns.

Greeks against Substance Abuse will be a new group that will talk to kids in high school about peer pressure in college.

A.)Crisis Communication Plan Resolution 2008-06: Vice Chair Whitney Rae Peters PR Team Liaison
Governor Peters read the Resolution.
The new board will not be able to vote until they are sworn in. The rules were suspended and the current board will be voting tonight.
Resolution Passed.
B.)Bureau of Finance Appropriation Proposal 2008-07:Treasurer Jackson
Project Mushroom Robby Zak spoke on behalf of the grant. The organization is requesting funds to help with their forum which will be held on Monday.
The issue is time sensitive rules were suspended and the grant passed.
Governor Bailey opposed the grant.

Have been friends with many of the members for years, just met some of the members this year but considers everyone to be in his “Personal Cadre”.

Governor Rogers
Serving as the Morale Chair for Dance Marathon. The Dance Marathon will be held starting on Friday at 5pm and will continue until Saturday at 11 pm.
Passed around a jar for anyone that has spare change they would like to donate.
It has been a great opportunity to work with everyone this year. All the hard work is greatly appreciated.

Several people have approached her about campus crisis safety plan.
Would like to see a new Governor take this struggle on.
Governor Saunders gave her commencement speech. Talked about how she got involved in SGA and about her struggles.
It’s been a great year and will continue to life coach President Parsons next year.
Governor Stonebraker
Wished everyone good luck that is leaving.
Wished Taylor Richmond good luck in his new role as governor. He really stepped up and helped Governor Stonebreaker with transportation issues.
Governor Thomaselli
Would like to see 6 members participate in a Boxing event through Alpha Kappa Alpha on Saturday at the Rec.
Talked about her experience in getting involved with SGA, and her term.

Returning Governors stood and old Governors remained seated while newly elected Governors came to the table to take their seats.

A year ago would have never thought that he would be sitting at the table.
Very impressed by the work that has been carried out.
Talked about expectations of the group.
Looks forward to working with everyone over the next year to make a difference on campus.
