-Vice President Napier called the meeting to order.

IV.Executive Reports

President Parsons
-Thanked Governor Pearson for his efforts.
-Applauded VP Napier and incoming Governor Sobonya for their work on the PROMISE petition.
-Everything we do would not be possible without VP Napier.
-Being president has been a great honor.
-Got involved in SGA because of Whitney Rae Peters.
-His first platform was online evaluations.
-At the end of the day, everything is about the students.
-Said a few things about each member and thanked them for all of their hard work.
-It has been a great honor to serve as Student Body President.
-This is all about the students and giving something back.
-Together, we have made a difference. Take advantage of your moment.

Vice President Napier
-Has been sitting on the Student Health and Wellness taskforce committee.
-Worked with Abby Sobonya on a petition for the PROMISE scholarship.
-At his first debate, he said that he hoped that SGA would be a competition of ideas.
-Has learned more every year that he has been involved.
-SGA is a team and a team effort. “Together, we will!” embodies this.
-Has had the opportunity to develop a program called the International Student Mentoring Program.
-Student government has been building new leaders every step of the way.
-Thanked President Parsons for everything.
-Free speech is what student government is about.

Attorney General Gutta
-Thanked everyone for a great year.

Chief of Staff McIntosh
-Absent.

Director of Communications Peters
-Has really enjoyed working with the current board.
-Keep in touch with your fellow SGA members.

Director of Greek Affairs Curry
– Absent.

Executive Secretary Poling
-Thanked President Parsons and VP Napier. Wished the new administration luck.

Elections Chair Dobson
-Thanked President Parsons and VP Napier. It has been a good experience.

Maniac Director Bailey
-Absent.

Outreach Director Judy
-Absent.

Outreach Director Yachini
– Absent.

Treasurer Greenberg

Student Connections Co-Chair Brummage
-It has been an honor to serve as Student Connections Co-Chair.
-He is resigning from this position, and Allyssa Rommel will be stepping up.

Historian France
-Thanks for all of your hard work.
-Will be making a CD with all of the pictures.

VI.Old Business
A. Bureau of Finance Appropriation Proposal 2009-06: Treasurer Greenberg
-Sigma Alpha Pi: Broadcast a set of nationally known speakers via satellite or through the use of DVDs. Requesting $500. No representative present.

VII.New Business
A. The New Mountaineer Mascot: Rebecca Durst
-VP Napier introduced Rebecca and presented her with a support letter from SGA.
-President Parsons presented her with a Certificate of Recognition from the Governor.

VIII.Governors’ Reports

Governor Fortunato
-It has been a pleasure serving you all.
-Has been trying to speak to administrators about the SEIs.

Governor France
-Feels honored to serve with everyone.
-Wished everyone the best of luck.
-Over the past two years, she was able to renovate the lounge in the Mountainlair and start a Pre-Health advising program.

Governor Mathias
-Being involved in SGA is a great honor.
-Please stay involved and good luck.
-Greek Week is March 30-April 3.

Governor McCulloch
-This past year has been a lot of fun.
-Plans to stay involved in SGA.

Governor Miller
-Thanked everyone for the opportunity to serve. It was a great experience.
-Good luck to everybody.

Governor Mitchell
-Thanked everyone for letting her serve. It has been a lot of fun.
-Good luck to the new administration.

Governor Pearson
-It was wonderful working with everyone.
-SGA has done a lot of great things over the past year.
-Looks forward to seeing what the new board does.

Governor Perry
-It has been a great experience.
-Learned a lot about herself and other people.
-To the new administration: make the most of this opportunity. Choose to make a difference. Don’t back away from a challenge.
-Is excited for the opportunities that she is going to get to experience.

Governor Ramsey
-Has made a lot of friends and gained a lot of experience through SGA.
-The people you work with in SGA will always be considered a friend.
-I hope the next group of student leaders can benefit as much as I have.

Governor Richmond
-It really has been a privilege to work in student government.
-Thanked President Parsons and VP Napier for giving him the opportunity.
-Encouraged the new board to keep working hard.
-Being on SGA is not about padding your resume, it’s about making WVU better.

Governor Rogers
-The best memories that she has from the past two years are from student government.
-Feels very thankful for everyone who gave her the opportunity.

Governor Seitz
-Thanked President Parsons and VP Napier for giving him the opportunity to run.
-Best of luck to the incoming board.

Governor Thomaselli
-It has been one of the best experiences to work with everyone.

Governor Wyatt
-Got involved in SGA through a leadership class.
-Students have 3 options for the new student debit card: request paper bills and wait 3-4 weeks for your student refund check, stick with your bank and you will be sent with a VISA card with your refund check, or open up a PNC card and get your student refund.
-Considers all of the Governors contacts for the future.
-Is confident that the current administration will make a difference in the future.
-Thanks to everyone for such a successful year.

Governor Zuccari
-Thanked Tommy and Jason for the opportunity to serve.
-Is looking forward to the next step of the journey.

IX. Swearing-In Ceremony
-New SGA members were sworn in.
-Jason Parsons and Tommy Napier presented President Zuccari and VP Peters with certificates of recognition from the Governor.

President Zuccari
-We are very excited for this next administration.
-Executive applications went out this week.

Vice-President Peters
-Is very excited to get started.
-Ready to start working with everyone.
-Encouraged everyone to start building relationships with each other.
-The week after Spring Break, SGA will be meeting in Charleston at the Capital.

Governor Bostic
-Will be focusing on club sports.

Governor Butts
-Will be working on residential education and dining.

Governor Casto
-Thanked Sarah Perry and Kevin Beck for giving her the opportunity to run.
-Thanked President Zuccari and VP Peters.
-Will be working on campus safety and international student affairs.

Governor Cheng
-Challenged everyone to hold him accountable to everything he said that he was going to do.
-Will always be there to help people out.

Governor Covitz
-Thanked the previous administration.
-Is very proud to be serving on the board.
-Running on student disability services.

Governor Fortunato
-Is very excited to work with everyone.
-Looks forward to getting to know everyone.

Governor Hess
-Commended the past administration for their accomplishments.
-Excited to work with everyone.

Governor Kast
-Will be working on student organizations awareness.
-Thanked Sarah Perry and Kevin Beck for allowing him to run.

Governor Mols
-Will be working on advising and Greek life.
-E-mailed Courtney Jennings about getting incoming students more informed about the advising process.

Governor Quinn
-Thanked everyone who helped him get his position.
-Will be working on lowering textbook prices.

Governor Richmond
-Thanked President Zuccari and VP Peters.
-Will be working on transportation.
-Will also be working on residential education along with Governor Butts.
-The most important thing is to get stuff done for the students, and not for yourself.

Governor Sobonya
-Thanked Jason Parsons, Tommy Napier, and Emily Golomb.
-Has already started a petition for the PROMISE scholarship.
-Will be going to Charleston this weekend.

Governor Taylor
-Thanked the previous administration.
-Is very excited to get to work.
-Will be working on campus safety.

Governor Vaghedi
-Will be working on childcare on and off campus.

Governor Wilson
-Thanked Sarah Perry for giving her the opportunity.
-Will be working on community service and career services.

Athletic Councilwoman Crutchfield
-Will be working with the Maniacs.
-Thanked President Parsons and VP Peters.

Athletic Councilman Folio
-Thanked the previous board.
-Looks forward to working with the Athletic Department.

XII.New Business
A. Vice Chair Nominations
-Vote by secret ballot.
-Governor Casto is the new Vice Chair.

XIII.Open Student Forum II
-Brett White: is very proud of this past administration. Commended Jason Parsons and thanked him for everything that he has done for the University. The CCE is looking forward to working with SGA.
-Tyler Pearson: recognized our DA writer, Melanie Hoffman.
