-Vice President Napier called the meeting to order.

IV.Executive Reports

President Parsons
-The first Executive meeting was tonight.
-Announced the Student Voices Across Campus program. Encourages everybody to attend the roundtable discussions.
-Announced the Students for Higher Education program.
-In the coming weeks, we will be talking more about Wellness.
-SGA will be sponsoring a Zumba class in the Mountainlair Ballrooms April 26, 5-7pm.

Vice President Napier
-Met with Governor Miller and Governor Pearson. Working to develop a wellness plan.
-Will be meeting with all of the Governors this Friday.
-If anyone is interested in the Student Conduct Board, please let him know.

Director of Communications McLean
-Stress Busters Week will be April 22-24. Please sign up. HELP will be working with SGA throughout this week.

Director of Communications Peters
-Passed out Speak Up flyers.
-The first student forum is this Friday.

Chief of Staff Queen
-Students for Higher Education—plans to get a group together and decide on an agenda.

Chief of Staff McIntosh
-No report.

Treasurer Jackson
-Absent.

Attorney General Zak
-Absent.

Outreach Director Songer
-No report.

Off-Campus Housing Director Fink
-Passed out a proposal for the Off-Campus Housing Weekend.
-This will be a way for parents to be more involved in their off-campus housing choices. Tentatively scheduled for January.
-Wants to get involved in the Parents’ Club.

Director of Greek Affairs Modansky
-The SGA-Greek relationship has been a great success.
-Will continue to work on Greeks and substance abuse.
-Increase in programming for academics for Greeks.
-Tomorrow is Airbands at 5:00pm on the Mountainlair Green.

Maniac Director Hatcher/Moles
-Thanked Governor Richmond and Ann-Marie Marnell for helping with Maniac sign-ups.

Student Connections Liaison Durst
-Absent.

A. Bureau of Finance Appropriation Proposal 2008-08: Treasurer Jackson
College Republicans-Assist with advertising and recruitment costs. Grant passed.
Philosophy Club-Help defer costs of the second annual WVU National Undergraduate Philosophy Conference. Grant passed.
WVU Boxing Club-Assist in covering costs of travel to the mid-west NCBA regional tournament. Grant passed.
WVU Lacrosse Club-Assist in cost of travel to Miami of Ohio to Kent State to participate in two games. Grant passed.
WVU Men’s Crew Team-Assist to travel to events outside of Morgantown. Grant passed.
Tae Kwon Do-Assist in covering costs of the WVU TKD Association’s Martial Arts Tournament. No representative.

B. WVU Students for the Honest Adoption of Pets.
-Michael Taylor spoke about the WVU Students for the Honest Adoption of Pets.
-They plan on giving a proposal to the City of Morgantown about the issue of animal cruelty.
-Wants SGA to write a letter of support for this issue.
-This particular resolution protects only dogs.
-The board voted to support this issue and write a letter.

VIII.Governors’ Reports

Governor Fortunato
-Met with Robby Zak to discuss the Greek basketball game.
-Has a meeting with Bob Roberts next week to start discussing the WVU ALERT.
-Will be dancing in Airbands.

Governor France
-No report.

Governor Mathias
-It is Greek Week. There has been a lot of involvement.
-There is currently a survey on MIX about Advising.
-Next Thursday there is a Lip-Sync contest sponsored by Psi Chi.

Governor McCulloch
-Asked to attend the meeting for the Sports’ Club Federation with Governor Pearson.
-Would like to start working to better the club sports program.

Governor Miller
-Met with VP Napier and Governor Pearson to put together the Wellness Initiative.

Governor Mitchell
-No report.

Governor Pearson
-Discussed wellness with VP Napier and Governor Miller.
-Met with transportation director. They are pushing for more biking around Morgantown.
-Look for more bike racks around campus.
-Appreciated being invited to attend the Sports’ Club Federation meeting.

Governor Perry
-Handed everyone a new schedule for freshmen orientation. Please fill out and return to her.
-WVU offers a scholarship for high school student body presidents and valedictorians. Plans on meeting them for dinner to discuss getting involved in SGA.

Governor Ramsey
-The search panel for the Career Services Center met this Friday. Narrowed it down to three candidates. Currently scheduling interviews.

Governor Richmond
-Spoke with representative from Mountain Line. Praised SGA’s work on the Valley View bus line.

Governor Rogers
-Will be attending Code Enforcement Ride-Alongs. Please sign up if interested.
-There is a SunnysideUp meeting next week. Please let her know if you would like to attend.
-There are new recycling bins in the SGA office.

Governor Seitz
-No report.

Governor Thomaselli
-Absent.

Governor Wyatt
-Absent.

Governor Zuccari
-Working to improve and educate nationally about West Virginia’s sports traditions.

IX.Athletic Council Reports

Athletic Councilman Donato
-Blue and Gold game is next Saturday, April 19, at 12pm.
-Encourages everyone to attend baseball games.

Athletic Councilwoman Werner
-Absent.

X.Advisors’ Reports

XI.Open Student Forum II
-Ron Cheng asked about WVUp all night. Governor Seitz volunteered to assist him.

XII.Announcements
-Governor France announced that the Summit will take place next Wednesday. Encourages everyone to attend. There is no dress code. Thirty universities will be present.
-Governor France also announced that there will be a speaker next Thursday about gambling. Encourages everyone to attend.
-Governor Perry handing out calendars to Executives.
-Governor Miller thanked everyone for attending the Leadership Conference.
-If anyone wants to help out with the Maniacs, please let Jeremy Hatcher know
-President Parsons encourages everyone to attend the General Student Concerns forum this Friday 6-8pm in the Mountaineer room of the Mountainlair..
-Sarah McLean-PRSSA is doing a fundraiser this Saturday at Cici’s pizza.
-VP Napier announced that Emily Renzelli won the Malaria Campaign.
-Robby Queen added that on April 25, Renzelli will be recognized by MTV Studios.
-Governor Ramsey performed stand-up comedy Saturday night. Although no one from the board came, his mother came and brought two friends.
