-Vice President Napier called the meeting to order.

IV.Executive Reports
President Parsons
-Last Spring, we launched a program called Student Voices Across Campus.
-Outreach Director Adam Judy has put together the report.
-Some college presidents have signed a letter supporting the drinking age being lowered to 18.
-Your voice matters. We are going to be aggressive speaking up on issues on and off-campus.
-The current members of Student Government have been working very hard.
Vice President Napier
-Feel free to approach any members of SGA with your thoughts.
-Working on the Mountainlair Report. We want to see long-term changes made to the Mountainlair.
-We are doing an International Students Mentoring Program. Please see him if you are interested.
Attorney General Gutta
-Introduced himself and welcomed all students
-We had a great time at the retreat.
Chief of Staff McIntosh
-Thanked all of the governors, executives, and guest speakers for coming to retreat.
Chief of Staff Queen
-We are going to continue to work on legislative issues. Let him know if you are interested in working on this.
Director of Communications Peters

Elections Chair Dobson
-Absent.
Elections Chair Golomb
-Planning on getting Homecoming elections started.
Maniac Director Bailey
-Absent.
Outreach Director Judy

Off-Campus Housing Director Fink
-Introduced herself.
-Along with Governor Rogers, she will be working on off-campus housing issues.
Treasurer Greenberg
-Has a meeting tomorrow concerning finance.

Jason Staples: OneWVU.
-This initiative was started last year. It is a celebration of the diversity of students.
-We have students from all over the country.
-Your experience at WVU will prepare you for the future.
-At FanFest, we are going to talk about OneWVU.
-Coach Marlan LeBlanc is one of the people who is spearheading this initiative.
-The education you get is not only inside the classroom, but outside of the classroom, as well.
-Read poems he wrote about diversity and OneWVU.

Governor Fortunato
-Absent.
Governor France
-Her last platform was the lounge under the grand staircase in the Mountainlair.
-Her platform this semester will be advising.
Governor Mathias
-Her platform is undergraduate advising and Greek affairs.
-September 3rd will be Meet the Greeks.
-Sorority recruitment will be the week of September 14.
Governor McCulloch
-Fraternity recruitment is one of his platforms. Recruitment will be September 8-10.
-His other platforms are to increase pedestrian safety across campus and increase funding for club sports.
Governor Miller
-Her platform is wellness.
-She is working on developing a new Wellness Facility.
Governor Mitchell
-Her platform is student employment.
-She met with Susan Lance about the new website.

Governor Pearson
-Working on non-motorized transportation and increasing funding for Club Sports.
-Also working on wellness and improving off-campus housing.
Governor Perry
-Her platform is the First-Year Experience.
-Working on outreach and putting together events to reach out to Freshmen.
-She is heading up Student Connections this year. They will meet at 6:30 before the student government meeting.
-Also worked on the “Can I Help You?” and Student Connections shirts.
-She was approached to speak at a University 101 class.
Governor Ramsey
-His platforms concerns Career Services.
Governor Richmond
-Encouraged all Freshmen to get involved.
-His platform consists of motorized transportation, PRT, parking renovations, Student Memorial Scholarship, and RA Council.
Governor Rogers
-Her platform is off-campus housing.
-Does a lot of work in the Sunnyside area.
-Works with the city and had a code enforcement internship this summer.
-If you are interested in off-campus housing, please see her.
Governor Seitz
-His platforms are the information screens and logo branding.
Governor Thomaselli
-Her platform deals with safety on campus.
-Has worked on PhotoVoice.
Governor Wyatt
-His platform is to implement a debit card system into the Mountaineer Card.
Governor Zuccari
-His platforms are WVU traditions and disability services.

Athletic Councilman Donato
-Has been working on many things. Let him know if you have any ideas.
Athletic Councilwoman Werner
-Absent.
X.Advisors’ Reports
XI.Open Student Forum II
-Rachel, a Freshmen, commended SGA on working on so many diverse issues.
-Brittany Fink said that if any Freshmen are ever lost, please approach any SGA member.
XII.Announcements
-The SHAB is sponsoring a 5k run on September 20th.
-Governor France is looking for about 15 people to be on an Alcohol Advisory Council.
-Meet the Greeks is Wednesday September 3rd.
