President Parsons
-Many bills going through the state legislature are of great importance to students.
-Next Wednesday, SGA’s community initiative will be announced.
-Attended the SunnysideUP board meeting this morning.
-Met with Jim Fischer to discuss Senior Leadership Meetings.
-Recognized Megan Yachini and Ryan Combs for working on the Engage ‘08 program.
-The WVU Board of Governors meeting is tomorrow.
-Met with Provost Martin about the Mountaineer Creed.
-SGA has announced the 9/11 activities.
-Planning for the Leadership Symposium has begun.
-If you are interested in attending the Oliverio’s Social, please e-mail Whitney Rae Peters.

Vice President Napier
-Met with Jim Fischer to discuss Senior Leadership Meetings. These meeting are important because they are a way to communicate with WVU administrators.
-Will be meeting with all the Governors this week.

Attorney General Gutta
-No report.

Chief of Staff McIntosh
-Absent.

Chief of Staff Queen
-If anybody has any suggestions that need to be discussed in the state legislature, please speak up.

Director of Communications Peters
-Absent.

Director of Greek Affairs Curry
-Fraternities are in the middle of recruitment right now. Things are going well

Executive Secretary Poling
-Will be attending the social justice meeting.
-Will be participating in the Mountain Line Commercial.

Elections Chair Dobson
-Absent.

Elections Chair Golomb
-Applications for Homecoming Court are due Friday.

Maniac Director Bailey
-Absent.

Outreach Director Judy
-No report.

Outreach Director Yachini
-“Together, we will” projects will begin soon. The first event will be September 21st at 1pm.
-Voter registration will begin September 22nd.
-All reservations for Engage ‘08 have been confirmed.

Off-Campus Housing Director Fink
-Will be working to get more people interested in studying abroad.
-Working on planning the Off-Campus Housing Day.

Treasurer Greenberg
-There are three representatives here to apply for grants:
-Climbing Club: Needs funds to buy climbing equipment. Time sensitive: Grant passed.
-Sport and Exercise Psychology Graduate Student Club: Requesting funds to travel to a national conference. Time sensitive: grant passed.
-WVU Club Tennis: Asking for funds to go to a tournament at the University of Maryland. Time sensitive: grant passed.

A. Resolution 2008-08 Student Lobbying Efforts: President Parsons and Governor Pearson. Time sensitive: resolution passed.

Governor Fortunato
-Absent.

Governor France

Governor McCulloch
-Fraternity recruitment is going on this week. Things have been very successful.
-Rush ends this Friday.
-Thanked Governor Mathias with all of her hard work on Meet the Greeks.

Governor Miller
-The SHAB is having a 5k run/walk on September 20th.

Governor Mitchell
-No report.

Governor Pearson
-Attended the Transportation and Parking committee last Friday.
-The PRT was discussed. Within the next year, the PRT system will start being renovated.

Governor Perry
-At the Student Connections meeting tonight, the Governors attended and talked to the group.
-Executives will attend next week.
-Constitution Day activities will be September 17th. There will be a booth in the Mountainlair from 10AM-2PM.

Governor Ramsey
-Absent.

Governor Richmond
-WeGO week will be next week.
-Monday-biking and walking.
-Tuesday-carpool.
-Wednesday-vanpool.
-Thursday-Mountain Line Day.
-Friday-PRT Appreciation Day. The 70 millionth passenger will ride the PRT on Friday.
-The University is building a $16.6 million parking and transportation facility.

Governor Rogers
-Attended the SunnysideUP meeting this morning.
-Tax Increment Finance Plan-tax dollars throughout the state and brought to Morgantown to help with changes in Sunnyside.
-The Code Enforcement Department’s website will be updated with a lot of information.

Governor Seitz
-No report.

Governor Thomaselli
-Will be meeting with members of the President’s Office and DPS about changes to the PhotoVoice website.
-They will also be meeting about last year’s PhotoVoice project and the changes that have been taken place.

Governor Wyatt
-Absent.

Governor Zuccari
-Attended the SunnysideUP meeting this morning.
-Has been working with the United Way Campaign.
-There will be a press conference on Monday about this campaign. Coach Huggins will be in attendance.

IX.Athletic Council Reports

Athletic Councilman Donato
-Absent.

Athletic Councilwoman Werner
-Met with Coach Huggins and his basketball staff about Mountaineer Madness and student attendance issues.
-The Women’s Soccer Team will be playing tomorrow night.
-There will be a watch party for the WVU vs. Colorado football game next week at the Metropolitan Theatre on High Street.

-Presidential Search Committee applications are available. They can be found at http://www.sga.wvu.edu
-The 5k run/walk will be September 20th.
-The 5k Heart Walk for the Student Memorial Scholarship will be October 18th.
-The Mountain Line has created a feature on their website that incorporates Google Maps.
-Contact Governor Rogers about agenda handouts and presentations.
-There are still spots available for the spring semester study abroad programs.
