-Invited DPS Chief Bob Roberts to the SGA meetings.
-Attended the City Council meeting last night. The towing companies and practices were discussed.

-Absent.

-Met with Dave Miller about legislative issues.
-Will be working with the HEPC on textbook issues.

-Will be attending the Social Justice Council Meetings.
-Will be working on the taxi service in Morgantown along with President Parsons.

-Student Connections elections were held tonight. Chad Brummage was elected Co-Chair and Alyssa Rommel was elected recording secretary.
-Working on the United Way fundraiser.

V. Open Student Forum I
-Max Black-Pi Kappa Phi: asked SGA to recognize his fraternity and the positive changes they have made recently.
-Students for Ralph Nader: would like Nader to be recognized on the Engage ‘08 website.

A. Bureau of Finance Grant Proposal 2008-12: Treasurer Greenberg
-Public Interest Advocates: Assist in purchasing postage for annual “Fall Appeal,” a statewide donation campaign. Asking for $500. No representative present.

VII.New Business
A. Bureau of Finance Grant Proposal 2008-13: Treasurer Greenberg
-WVU Men’s Volleyball Team: Cover expenses for 2009 National Volleyball Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri. Asking for $500.
-Next Generation West Virginia: Host charity tailgate for Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center on November 8th. Asking for $500.
-Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity: Cover ticketing, advertising, DJ, and trophy expenses for homecoming event in Mountainlair Ballroom on October 11th. Asking for $500. No representative present.
-Students for Global Health: Cover packaging expenses related to sending Global Health literature overseas. Asking for $500.
-Delta Sigma Delta: Offset costs for New Member Inductions in Mountainlair Ballroom on November 5th. Asking for $500.
B. Resolution 2008-10: President Parsons, et al
-This resolution suggests several measures to keep rising textbook prices under control and to allow for students to explore alternative ways of obtaining books.

-Congratulations Pi Kappa Phi on their achievements.
-The Greek vs. Student Orgs basketball game is tomorrow night.

-On Sunday, October 12th, the WVU Panhellenic Council will be attending the Women’s soccer game.
-Congratulated the Pi Kappa Phi’s.

Governor McCulloch
-Congratulated the Pi Kappa Phi’s.
-Met with the Sports Club Federation yesterday.
-Trying to push for better funding for Club Sports.
-Virginia Tech has about the same number of club sports as WVU, but their budget is about 4X as much.

Governor Miller
-Healthy Living Week is next week.

Governor Mitchell
-No report.

Governor Pearson
-Participated in the groundbreaking of the new transportation facility.
-Met with Dave Miller about legislative issues.
-Encouraged everyone to comment on the SGA blogs.

Governor Perry

Governor Ramsey
-Working on the 5k Heart Walk that will benefit the Student Memorial Scholarship.

Governor Richmond
-Absent. Report given by Governor Seitz.
-Apologized for his absence.
-Trying to get funding approved for the GPS bus locating systems.

Governor Rogers
-No report.

Governor Seitz
-The focus groups for the 2010 Implementation Team will be ending soon. Tomorrow will be the final focus group.

Governor Thomaselli
-Absent.

Governor Wyatt
-Will have updates about the debit card system in the near future.

Governor Zuccari
-Congratulated the Pi Kappa Phi’s.
-Thanked Student Connections for their hard work on the United Way campaign.
-The fundraising has reached its halfway mark.

Athletic Councilman Donato
-Absent.

Athletic Councilwoman Werner
-Has been asked to sit on the NCAA recertification committee.
-Tonight, the Men’s soccer team is playing Pitt.
-Friday is Mountaineer Madness.
-This Sunday, the Women’s soccer team is playing Connecticut. This is a breast cancer awareness event, so please wear pink.
