Pres. Kirkpatrick- Today the SGA-DPS Partnership was announced.
- Attended Institutional Board of Governors meeting on August 31.
- Congratulations to the Mountaineers on their win over Western Michigan, Good luck this weekend.
- Will be meeting with Tim Bolling of the WVU Foundation to discuss setting up the Student Body President Endowment Fund.
- Attended a University 101 class along with Chief of Staff Boyd toady at Towers to talk about SGA. The class will be coming to make presentations to SGA over the next few weeks.
- The press release in regards to the Mountainlair branding is complete.
- Working with Governor Rogers to set up a walking tour of Sunnyside. The tour will include city and university officials.
- Working with Governor Barth and West Virginia Treasure Perdue on planning a Smart Money Conference.
- Working with Governor Thomaselli on her safety platform.

- Governors, please put in some hours in the SGA office.
- The Mandatory Retreat is on September 15. If you know you aren’t coming please let her know by the end of the week.
- The Retreat will run from 10a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Wellness Week is this week, tomorrow will feature the Bungee Run.
- If you haven’t picked up your pedometer yet please get it from your box.
- The SGA website is now up and running. Josh Dodd will do a presentation at tonight’s meeting.
- Meet the Greek Governors will be on Sept 12.
- The 5K held on Sunday was a great success.

- The Grant Applications are now available on-line.
- All purchases made using grant money must be made with the P-Card.

- If anyone knows anyone who would be interested in being on the judge’s panel for the Homecoming Court, please let her, Elections Chair Bailey, or Sue Henry know.

- There will be a Hazing Prevention Program the 1st week of October.
- October 3rd will be an Inmate Presentation at 2pm in the Gluck Theater. Those in attendance can receive community service hours.
- A Greek Leadership Symposium is being planned for November 11th.
- Off Campus Housing Committee Applications are now available.
- Working with Brenda Hall to get the off campus housing chapter back in the Univ. 101 books.
- Working with Brian in raising awareness for
the Off Campus Housing Week and Landlord Fair.

Recycling Ambassador Neubert - Marshall is unveiling their Game Day Recycling Program this weekend. If you are going to the game please recycle.

Sophomore / Junior Year Experience Program Coordinator Zuccari - Absent
Maniac Director Hatcher/Moles - There will be a Watch Party for the Maryland Game.
- There will be an Open Forum the 1st Tuesday of every month with a different Varsity coach.
- Justin Wood would like to make it known that there were some issues with printing football tickets.
- Would like to see more efficient lines and entrance plans at the stadium.
i. Would like to see the ticketing process changed, a friend that was in the band for 3 ½ years was unable to get a ticket because he had no loyalty points. - A student raised concerns about the PRT being broken down so frequently. Suggested that improvements be made to the current system.

- Resolution 2007-004 Mountaineer Maniacs Basketball Seating-Governor Peters, Athletic Councilwomen Werner
o Governor Peters gave the floor to Athletic Councilwoman Werner.
o Athletic Council Woman Werner read the resolution.
o Many questions were raised about the resolution.
o Vote was taken to suspend the rules and vote due to the time issue.
o 8 voted to go to a vote, 3 voted no, and 1 abstained.
o Many governors had questions about the issue.
o 5 voted yes, 1 voted no, and 6 abstained, it was determined that not enough governors voted to pass the resolution.
o The Board will look into the issue and bring it back to the table next week.

- SGA&DPS- Partnership for Safety: President Kirkpatrick and Vice-President Parsons.
o Plan includes: training walking cadets, instillation of new lighting, and security cameras. - Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) Search Committee Update: Tommy Napier
o Michael Whilem is the new director; he is the former Intensive English Program Director.

VIII. Governors Reports
Governor Barth- Working on a Smart Money Conference with West Virginia Treasure Purdue and Vice-President Parsons.
- Sunday’s 5K was successful, a meeting will be held to determine the profit.
- Asked Board if they would be interested in helping out a Walk for Literacy on Sunday from 4-6.

Governor Golomb - Meeting with Mike Ellington to discuss T.V. Lounge and other Mountainlair renovations.
Governor Hall
- Will be meeting with Attorney General Zak this week to discuss the Homecoming Week Games.

- Free classes at the Rec. Center haven’t been cut.
- Rec. Center class schedules are posted on their web-site.
- Please attend these classes and let the administration know how important they are to students.
- There will be an informational lunch tomorrow at Hatfield’s starting at 1p.m for the Freshman Advisory Board. A bookstore tour will follow.
- Will be meeting with Angela Caudill, Director of WVU Creative Services on informational brochure for the bookstore.
Governor Peters - Monday evening at 7:30 will be the social at Oliverio’s on the deck. Please signup if you haven’t already.

- Read resolution at City Council and will meet in the future.
- Jim Hunt, director of Sunnyside up will be here next week to make a presentation.
- Planning a Sunnyside Walking Tour.
- Applications for the off campus housing committee are now available.
- There will be a Sunnyside Up Board meeting next Wednesday can contact her at Erica.Rogers@mail.wvu.edu – meeting is at 730 AM at the Seneca Center on Beechurst.
- Working on a new platform goal: creation of a computer lab in the Lair to reduce overcrowding of library computers.
- Met with Police Chief Roberts, the parking ticket drop boxes have been confirmed.
- Looking into electronic parking timer devices for which students could purchase time from the web and not have to deal with the ticket machines in the lots/garages.
- There is a possibility to making some long term lots into short term.
- In Oct. there will be a meeting with the Mountain Line; PRT, and Parking Office, student representatives are needed.
- Met with Parsons to discuss a transportation brochure.

McDougle- Meeting with Mary Collins to devise a plan to get students into the stadium more efficiently.
- Working on a PSA with Jen Fisher.
- Working on brining coaches in each month for a student forum.
- Working on fan behavior, early entry, and attendance.
