Bio:

Matthew is a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Environmental Geoscience, with a minor in Spanish. Aside from SGA, Matthew is the Program Director for the WVU Pre-Law Society, and a member of the Phi Sigma Pi national honor fraternity. Matthew is a member of the Red Cross Club and the Eberly Student Advisory Board. He enjoys reading, cooking, exercising and pretty much any outdoor activity. 

Goals:

As chair of the Student Life Committee, Matthew plans to facilitate a strong, constructive relationship with administrators so that they can work collaboratively to fix the problems most relevant to students. He plans to support the members of his committee in the pursuit of their priorities, and he personally hopes to continue his work on sustainability, as well as focus on more tangible aspects of the student experience. 

Achievements:

Matthew is incredibly proud of the recycling bill they passed last year and he had the opportunity to work on that bill as an intern. Matthew felt the experience was very rewarding to see it bear some fruit. He is also proud of the work the Bureau of Finance did last year by almost setting a record for grants awarded, even with a reduced budget!
