SGA Report

SGA members traveled to Iowa State University to represent WVU at the BIG 12 SGA conference.

During October’s Month of Service, we hosted food, literacy, and hygiene product drives across campus. In total, we collected 105 donations.


We organized a Rail Trail Cleanup on the Caperton Trail and were able to collect 4 bags of trash off the trail.

SGA attended the Eastwood Elementary Trunk or Treat.

In partnership with the WV Rivers Coalition, we participated in a Voter Phone Banking Drive to help citizens in North-Central WV prepare to vote.

During Homecoming weekend, we welcomed SGA Alumni back to Morgantown with a networking mixer at the Erickson Alumni Center.

We kicked off the Arts Alliance student group with an Art Scavenger Hunt inviting students to find different pieces of art around campus for the chance to win a vinyl record of their choice.

SGA and the WVU Staff Council hosted a Coat/Clothing drive on campus to benefit faculty, staff, and students.

SGA Members met with WV Speaker of the House, Roger Hanshaw, to advocate for our legislative priorities.

For Pedestrian Safety Month, we hosted two campus safety walks on the Sunnyside and HSC areas of campus. Members were able to work with city partners to identify safety hazards and concerns.

SGA is collecting Tabs at the Rec, Mountainlair, and HSC to donate to the Ronald McDonald House

  • WVU will excuse parking citations for food donations. Participants should donate their items to the first floor of Mountaineer Station through Nov. 15. The collection site will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on weekdays
