August 2022 Monthly Report

Executive Reports

  • Executives for the Hernandez-Uqaily Administration were appointed on August 8th.
  • Applications for the Fall 2022 Intern Program closed on August 28th.
  • Heavy updates to the SGA website were carried out by Chief Information Officer Jackson.
  • The 2022-2023 Student Organization Grantapplication is now live. The application can be found on WVU Engage.
  • The Legislative Affairs Officers published a survey on students.wvu.edu to gauge student opinion on the opening of Big Daddy Guns downtown.
  • The Communications Team installed immense updates to the social media accounts by creating cohesive graphics.
  • Intern Coordinator Backus managed the onboarding of the interns where he planned an intern-mentor mixer, assigned interns to their respective mentor, and reviewed extensive applications.

Assembly Reports

  • Over the summer, several senators attended the WV Student Leadership Conference in Canaan Valley.
  • Representatives attended the Student Government Institute in Dever, Colorado.
  • Health Sciences Senators along with President Hernandez toured the facility updates occurring on HSC.
  • Senators met with VPs Svehlik and Aslop regarding the recent parking fees at the Coliseum.
  • Senators are currently working on legislation regarding the University's Add/Drop policies.
  • Committee formation is underway. More information regarding committees can be found on the SGA website.
