Bio:

Garrett is pretty involved across campus holding positions on the Faculty Sustainability Committee, Sustainable Landscaping Committee, the President of the WVU Horticulture Club, the Chair of the Davis College Advisory Board, the Chair of the SGA Strategic Initiatives Committee, a Voting Member of the SGA Bureau of Finance, and is the Sustainability Intern for Dining Services. He is very focused on advocating for the students of WVU, especially those in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design.

Goals:

Within SGA Garrett's goal is to best advocate for the students at this university through close partnership and regular communication with University Administration. He also would like to advocate for communities across, since we as WVU are the flagship institution he believes we have an obligation to help advocate for people across the state.

Achievements:

Garrett has been in the Student Government Association for three years now, and he has focused on the topic of Sustainability. Over these few years he has worked with Dining Services to get Farmshelfs (which are coming to campus soon) and start a small scale composting program, and he has worked with the Office of Sustainability to form the Sustainable Landscaping Committee which is focused on making more pollinator friendly landscapes across campus. Lastly, this year he has focused a lot of time into advocating for students during the Academic Transformation Process, partnering with Senator Olivero to construct SGA's position and recommendations to the Office of the Provost regarding the cuts they had proposed.
