Bio:

Olivia is currently a Human Nutrition and Foods major on a Pre-Dental track here at WVU. As an out-of-state student, she is eager to become engaged with the student body and give back to the community to which she now calls home by devoting her time in a multitude of areas. Outside of her position in SGA, she is President of the Honors Student Association, Resident Assistant at Bennett Tower, Pre-Dental Club member, and WVU Olympic Sports Nutrition Fueling Station Volunteer. Within SGA, she is a Davis College Senator, Bureau of Finance Voting Member, and Academic Affairs Committee Member.

Goals:

Olivia's goals are to represent the Davis College student body’s needs and concerns, especially regarding the area of health. With her field of study being Human Nutrition, her focus will mainly be on giving back to the community and putting the student body first. She will begin by raising awareness of health/nutrition and services on campus that will contribute to a student's physical and academic performance, opportunity and success. 

Achievements:

During her time in SGA, she has been a Mental Health and Well-Being Committee Member where she collaborated with the committee chair to start initiatives regarding awareness of mental-health resources around campus for students to take advantage of. She has met with the Carruth Center along with Professional Dietitians of WVU which have furthered these ideas by gaining faculty support for such proposals within the past year. In addition, she was a Bureau of Finance mentee under the 2022-2023 SGA Treasurer where she worked one-on-one with student organizations who were able to receive grants through our services, extending their ability to utilize our university's resources.
