Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as a vital link between the West Virginia University Student Government Association (SGA) and the broader community. Upon appointment, they immediately begin fostering partnerships with WVU’s external relations offices, ranging from Business and Auxiliary Services to Government Relations. Within this role, they design impactful service opportunities that enable SGA members to actively contribute to the Morgantown community and the state of West Virginia. The coordinator also oversees six executives—ACCESS Liaison, Academic Partnerships Liaison, Alumni Relations Liaison, Local Government Liaison, State Government Liaison, and Federal Government Liaison—providing leadership and support to ensure cohesive engagement strategies. By regularly attending SGA meetings and representing the student voice in external forums, the Community Engagement Coordinator enhances SGA’s civic presence, strengthens its partnerships, and demonstrates the value of student leadership in community development.
