The Intern Coordinator is responsible for cultivating the next generation of leaders within the West Virginia University Student Government Association (SGA).
This role centers on designing and overseeing the SGA Intern Program, ensuring that interns are deeply engaged with the service, structure, and advocacy of the organization. From pairing interns with senators and executives to mentoring them through professional development, the coordinator provides guidance and fosters strong relationships. Additionally, the Intern Coordinator supports the interns in developing group projects that deliver tangible benefits to the campus community while also building leadership and organizational skills. Through careful planning, mentorship, and active engagement, the Intern Coordinator ensures that the internship program serves as both a leadership incubator and a meaningful contribution to SGA’s mission.
