Editing Officer

The Editing Officer ensures the accuracy, clarity, and professionalism of all written materials produced by the West Virginia University Student Government Association (SGA). Serving as the organization’s editorial lead, they are responsible for reviewing, refining, and standardizing documents such as newsletters, reports, legislative summaries, press releases, and website content. By maintaining consistent language and formatting, the Editing Officer protects the credibility and accessibility of SGA communications.


Working closely with the Communications Coordinator, Graphics Officer, and Website Officer, the Editing Officer upholds editorial standards through the development of style guidelines and document review processes. They assist SGA members in presenting their work clearly to both internal stakeholders and the broader student body.


Through their careful attention to detail and commitment to clear messaging, the Editing Officer ensures that the SGA communicates effectively, maintains transparency, and presents itself as a professional and trusted representative of the student voice at WVU.
