The Development Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Intern Coordinator by guiding the professional and leadership growth of the Student Government Association (SGA) Intern Program. Their primary responsibility is to design and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities that strengthen interns’ understanding of student government, service, and advocacy.
Working directly with interns, the Development Officer helps cultivate essential skills such as project planning, public speaking, and teamwork. They also assist in coordinating group projects, ensuring that interns’ initiatives leave a tangible impact on the WVU campus while fostering their personal development.
Through intentional mentorship and structured programming, the Development Officer ensures that interns gain meaningful experiences that prepare them to serve as future leaders within SGA and the broader university community.
