Bureau of Finance
Alex Cappadona is a fourth year finance student with dual minors in accounting and economics from Parkersburg, West Virginia. Alex is an active member of the Finance Club, a CRP participant, and an analyst for WVU’s Student Management Investment Fund. He previously served as the Student Investment Club President. His journey with SGA started one year ago, and now is dubbed everyone’s go-to for anything and everything finance related. In his free time, Alex enjoys art, cooking, and spending time outdoors. HIs future endeavors include corporate finance or investments.
Samuel Shoemaker is a third year mechanical engineering student from Bluefield, Virginia. Outside of being the Auditor for SGA, he is a member of Chi Alpha, Phi Beta Lambda, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He also works as a teaching assistant for the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. This is his second year in SGA, where last year he served as an Executive as a voting member of the Bureau of Finance. Sam enjoys playing and watching sports along with socializing with friends.
Brooke Ashby is a fourth year student with dual majors in communication sciences and disorders and psychology from Mannington, West Virginia. She has served as both the President and Vice President of Autism Speaks U. She is an active member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, the Mountaineer Maniacs Executive Board, and embodies what it means to be a true Mountaineer serving as the 2020-2021 Alternate Mountaineer Mascot. This is her first year on SGA, joining under the Riggs-Bragg administration. In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling, sipping on coffee, and socializing with her friends. After completing her bachelor’s, Brooke hopes to earn a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
Jacob Frisbee is a fourth year student studying both finance and accounting from Dayton, Ohio. This is his first year on SGA, joining under the Riggs-Bragg administration. He is an active member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. In terms of his career, his future intentions include breaking into high finance and showing others that WVU is an optimal school to recruit from. His free time is occupied by stock trading, weightlifting, and watching sports.
Olivia Mensore is a third year finance student from New Martinsville, West Virginia. As a student on campus, she is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and the Financial Planning Club. Her past service-learning project with the Office of Global Affairs that focused on marketing has helped equip her to join the BoF - this is her first year in SGA, joining under the Riggs-Bragg administration. Olivia’s hobbies are free-writing, hiking, and kayaking. In the future, she plans to attend graduate school at WVU and complete a dual J.D. and M.B.A. program.
