Community Engagement Committee

The Community Engagement Committee is comprised of assembly members, the Local Governance Liaison, and the Sustainability Coordinator. This committee exudes a deep passion for fostering and maintaining a relationship between the students and the greater Morgantown community and aims to remain open and transparent in regards to collaboration between students and the Morgantown community through various legislative efforts.

Local Governance Liaison
Logan Riffey is a second year psychology student from Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Logan is the team captain of Mountaineers Can’t Wait, the Outreach Coordinator for Active Minds WVU, an active member of the Quiz Bowl Team, MEDLIFE, and WVU’s Psychology Club. In 2019, Logan was named the Honorary Secretary of State, where he was acknowledged for his exemplary civic service to the state of West Virginia, specifically in engaging young people to register to vote. This will be Logan’s second year in SGA; last year he served as an intern for his position now. His hobbies are collecting bugs, reading, and watching documentaries. In the future, he hopes to attend medical school with the end goal of practicing psychiatry.

Anneliese Kaczmarek

Sustainability Coordinator 
Anneliese Kaczmarek is a fourth year industrial engineering student from Bridgeport, West Virginia. She is the Vice President of both Engineers Without Borders and Peak Consulting in addition to being an active member of WVU’s Society of Women Engineers. This is her first year on SGA, joining under the Riggs-Bragg administration. Her hobbies include hiking, wood burning, and painting. In the future, Anneliese aspires to be a consultant, specializing in producing initiatives for more sustainable business practices
