Travis Weller is a junior Political Science major with an area of emphasis on Elections and Campaigns. Currently outside of SGA Travis is working on the reelection campaign for Delegate Danielle Walker for WV House of Delegates. He also has done various research on different election based phenomena and plans to do more in the future. Outside of politics Travis raises pigs on his farm back home in Falling Waters WV and listens and plays music whenever he can. Travis is very excited to join the Executive Branch of the SGA and can’t wait to help run secure, accessible, and efficient elections here at WVU! 

Goals:

To enhance the security, accessibility, and efficiency of our elections while also allowing for maximum student involvement. I also strive to enhance participation in voting, campaigns, and other election events.

Catherine is from Hedgesville, West Virginia and is a sophomore majoring in Public Health. SGA is Catherine's main involvement on campus, however she is also a student employee at the Student Rec Center as a lifeguard! Catherine is super excited to be on the Communications Team this year and to learn more about SGA!

Goals:

Some of Catherine's goals include meeting as many people as she can and to learn as much as she can about all of the various positions within SGA. She plans to continue her involvement within the organization and is very proud of the work her and her team have accomplished. She is looking forward to what all they can do in the future!

Cece is a junior in Entrepreneurship and innovation with a minor in finance. She is the founder and President of a mental health club, Clear the Stress. With her position she wants to make sure all students are taken care of and heard in every way! 

Goals:

Cece wants to make sure students are heard and make sure each student is taken care of, no matter how small the need is.

Chloe is a junior majoring in Political Science with double minors in General Business and Spanish. She currently serves as Treasurer for her sorority - Kappa Kappa Gamma, and is a Congressional Intern!

Goals:

Chloe wants to establish Advisory Boards for each standing college at West Virginia University as well as other significant organizations on campus. Additionally, her goal is to ensure efficient and transparent communication between SGA and all Advisory Boards.

Erin Skaff is a political science major with a minor in music performance. She is the Student Organizations Liaison for the Student Government Association, a Diversity Ambassador, a board member on the Wellness & Mental Health Student Advisory Board, and a member of the WVU Pre-Law Society and the Asian Association. She is also an intern for Student Engagement & Leadership.

Goals:

She strives to create an inclusive atmosphere where student organizations can voice their concerns and make positive changes at WVU.

Achievements:

One of the things Erin’s most proud of is seeing students she spoke to at Decide WVU Days attending our university!

Karsey serves at the Executive Secretary for SGA and she serves as an assistant to the Vice President. Karsey records and maintains minutes for the weekly meetings, maintains important SGA files, and keeps the calendar up to date!

Aside from being the Executive Secretary of SGA, Karsey has two additional secretary roles in Women in Law and Women in Politics and Government. She is a member of the HSTA Alumni Organization, along with the Pre-Law Society. 

Goals:

Karsey's goal is to deliver accurate and concise minutes for each weekly meeting that are easily comprehensible for each student here at West Virginia University. 

Achievements:

Karsey is proud to be part of an organization that is filled with such a diverse set of minds, but who are all committed to making West Virginia University a better place.

Rhys is involved with helping Senators get any initiative that involves the state or federal legislatures, off the ground. He also works with the outreach department when legislative townhalls arise. 

Goals:

Rhys' biggest goal is to have successful legislative townhalls and see what policy changes students might like to see on the state and federal level.

Makayla is a senior majoring in Cybersecurity. This is her first year in SGA but she is also involved in many other organizations on campus. Makayla was the Community Service Chair for the Black Student Union but is not the President of the organization. She is also the Parliamentarian for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Makayla is a member in the National Society for Black Engineers, 100 Black Women, Society of Women Engineers, Secure WVU, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Makayla is the Lead Tutor at the Honors TestWELL Learning Center as well as a tutor for the Athletics Department. 

Goals:

Makayla hopes to help maintain all of the website services and use her experience in web development to aide SGA the best way possible to reach the community on campus.

Hayley is currently serving as the Local Governance Liaison. She is also currently the Community Service Chair for the WVU Pre-Law Society.

Goals:

Hayley’s goals within SGA are to create a fulfilling, beneficial relationship between West Virginia University Students and local community leaders and residents. By focusing on issues such as safety and accessibility, community outreach, sustainability, and collaboration, Hayley plans to not only create a better experience for Mountaineers, but a better home.
